The reawakening of all that I am or can be
the wall that I have built shatters all around me
I am bathed in the effervescence that is life
the miracle of sound now fills a once deaf heart
I can no longer escape the feeling of joy
the beauty that is everywhere, ….I never thought to look
I can see more because there are new colors,....and they are real
I don't walk and run any longer, I am simply here,.....and there
I am here by your side, can you feel my touch
the sun and wind are here, first caressing you, then me
the fragrance that was many things, is now just you
each new feeling is a wave that floods my senses
I have found a gentle person with courage
you brighten each moment, ….........I am almost blinded
I am alive,........... eager to taste every morsel that is you
