Hey guys, my name is Juraj,19yo and i'm writing here for advice. I've always been intrested in my body and due to my past problens with anxiety, digestive issues and skin problems i became intrested in yoga and chakras. It seemed like my root chakra has been blocked, guessing from my symptoms. It all changed 2days ago when i first tried meditation.

I didn't really know how to do it, so i looked up few tips on net, and i jumoed right to it, i sat down on the floor in meditation position and started focusing on gravity force like it's pulling me down. Firstly it was hard to focus but in few minutes i got into some strange state when i could think even with my eyes open and i was very very calm, feeling like i'm leaving my body. Time was passing quite quicky as i realized that one hour has passed like 15minutes. Then i said to myself that i'm gonna go to sleep, but as i layed down, i realized that my hands and feet are super cold, and i'm in a very alert state. I've experienced anxiety before many times, so this was straight up fight or flight mode. I tried to calm myself down and ground myself but somehow it didn't work at all. I was trying to fall asleep but it was impossible, my body was super-energized. I started panicking, but after a while a realized that i need to calm myself down, and after doing so i slowly fell asleep. I slept only about 5hours and waking up at 4am with same energized feeling made me feel fearfull again.

It's been 2days now and i'm in constant fight or flight mode, my arms and legs are always cold, my breathing is shallow, even after hours of practicing deep breathing and grounding, i'm unable to pull it down. Feelings of energy are sometimes swapped with feelings of tiredness. I feel lots of vibrations in my legs and hips. I'm also very communicative, and i don't feel anxious as before, i am always present, never in my head.

I'm not sure if this is Kundalini being awakened in me, but i can dedinitelly relate to symptoms of awakening. Right noe i don't know what i should do. Should i live my normaln life as before? Or should i try to rest as much as possible? My worry is with the adrenal glands, i feel so much adrenaline in my body being realised, and i'm scared of further influences it could have on my health. Should i eat normally? I know that in fight or flight mode your digestion is decreased, and due to my fungal overgrowth i'm scared to touch food. I've eaten very little so far and in these 2days symptoms of my fungal issues drastically encreased. Please, i'll be gratefull for any advices on what to do. Also, how long should i expect this "purification' phase to last?

Hi Juraj

Sorry to hear about your discomfort.

The purification could last for years. You can't go on like this till the process goes through all its stages. You need to get a handle on your life, find a diet and lifestyle that work for you while you manage your spiritual journey in a methodical way.

Have you seen your doctor about the fungal overgrowth? You should be on a diet that keeps the problem under control.

You also need plenty of grounding activities, to keep the energy in check - walking in nature, moderate exercise, socialising activities. What are you doing with yourself these days? Study/school? Work?

It's best to stop the improvised meditation till you learn about a system of practice you can use to progress safely in the long term. I would focus on grounding and sorting out your diet in the short term. When you are stable, you might like to read the lessons on this website. They teach a system of practice you can use. This forum offers support to those who are practising the AYP method.

Best wishes. Take care of yourself.

Hi, thanks for your feedback! These 2days, since it began, i stayed home from school because it did not know what was happening with me. Now that i know this state of mine is not going away, i am going to move on with my life and countinue with my studies in school. Also i wanted to know, is it really gonna be this way, that my fight or flight nervous system will be activated all the time? Like few years it could take? I can't image how someone could survive with such adrenaline production.

Hi Juraj,

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. I second BlueRaincoat in her advice to you.

I would like to add that the practicing of hours deep breathing you mentioned in your previous post is not advised in your situation. This will keep you in the fight and flight mode. It is ok if the breath is shallow in fact it is best not to pay attention to the breath in your situation, and I know this is not easy.

Best if you notice your attention is with your breath to bring it to your feet for instance, feel your feet touching the ground, while walking.

Best wishes

This is where the grounding comes in - having daily walks, keeping fit, socialising. A heavier diet can help (fasting will feed the energetic overload, so it's not advisable). And stay away from mediation, breathing exercises and practices like that till you become stable.
