I noticed I'm automatically performing a mudra I can't find any description of.

It looks like a 2D infinity symbol. I also noticed a variation of it, where one of the 'circles' (made by thumb and index finger) is rotated 90 deg. w.r.t. to the other circle, so that each finger touches all 3 remaining fingers.

What is this?
