After meditation or hatha yoga my joints pop a lot in the back (1 year ago it was behind the heart, and now it is the cervicals at the base of the skull).
-It can be loud, and heard by others,
-Sometimes I don't even have to move it can pop by itself.
-And sometimes I can make it pop just by "body scanning" on the neck, so it definitely has something to do with psychism and movement of energy.

It is not a symptom I usually see in the spiritual literature, is it something others have?
Is it related to the "Granthis"?
And more importantly is it a positive symptom?
Can I say: the more the practice generates pops = the more I purify?

Thank you

Just more space in the joints. There is no actual bifurcation of the physical body from the subtle and changes in the physical expression of the body should be expected as the prana increases in volume and flows.

You're only as healthy as your spine, as they say.
