Hello,

This may seem like any other beginner concern but I am here again after years of practice in doubt of what Im even doing when I meditate :')

I got concerned as I reread the lesson and some post regarding the procedure. To me I seem to not repeat or hear the mantra anymore, at least for months I have not seemed to repeat it, I have just been favoring some feeling or an intention of it... I wonder If I am not favoring AYAM as a mental-sound which may hinder my progress?

I have not even thought AYAM in my head in a while as my meditation is very routine and automatic :S

Hi Wil,

The mantra can become a "faint feeling" or "mere intention", or "impulse". This is a natural part of the refinement of the mantra.
