Hello.
I've tried to find references as to whether Kundalini exits your system or will it stay circulating for the rest of your life.
What is your view / experience?
Also what is the end of Kundalini cycle? Is it when Kundalini has reached the crown? |

Kundalini is a word which refers to a change in the way that prana flows in your body. Usually prana circulates around the human body. When kundalini becomes active, prana will begin to move upwards through the body, purifying the energy centres and nadis as it goes. So the word "kundalini" is similar to the word "fountain". A fountain is a particular movement of water, just as kundalini is a particular movement of prana.
So, kundalini does not exit the body. What happens is that the subtle nervous system is gradually transformed over many years, to a higher level of functioning. It is often said that the process of kundalini ends when the prana reaches and activates the crown. However this is not the end of the process. There is a further stage where the prana begins to come back down into the heart, radiating out from there. So you could say that this is the final stage of kundalini.
This is a quote from lesson 274:
"By the way, neuro-biologically speaking, the jivan mukti/christ stage corresponds with the union of inner silence and ecstatic conductivity evolving up from everywhere in the body, reaching maturity in the head, and then migrating back down into the heart where the spiritual rebirth occurs. So the heart is where we will end up with all this. The heart is the final home of our enlightenment in this body, with the neuro-biology of the whole body supporting that. There is much to do in setting the stage for this final outcome, and that is what AYP is about." [Yogani]
