Hi Fruition,

Surya Namaskar and Surya Kriya are series of movements that promote detoxification, and increase flexibility and strength. They prepare the body and the mind for meditation. They are different sequences of postures. Surya Namaskar targets the entire body, and links the movement with the breath (ujjayi pranayama). Surya Namaskar is a more dynamic series than Surya Kriya, which includes mostly sitting postures and targets the purification of the solar plexus.

Best wishes for your practice!
Blanche
