Sirens call me out to sea
Men with bayonets guard my retreat

Do I drown in pleasure or die in pain?
Or maybe find that middle way

To be still in the silence
To be right on the line
Where the swells of the heart
meet the dry land of mind

And if I can find you
If I can remember
Would you grant me your wisdom?
Would you help me surrender?

Would you kneel with me
down on that soft bed of sand
And build castles where waves
come to reclaim their land?

For this is my wish
And this is my lot
Please grant me the knowing
That I have forgot
