Is there a threshold of ojas required for kundalini awakening?
It seems that, if it's too soon after losing ojas, breath retention tries but cannot fully rouse the dormant energy down there.
Though it's not clear if the issue is not enough spinal breathing beforehand, or possibly blockages somewhere, or the ojas threshold.

Hello rerince and welcome to the ayp forums!
Personally, I don't know of the ojas and their transformations in our neurobiology as we begin meditation. If there is a threshold, you shouldn't mind it too much, just by doing your practices the body and the nervous system will cleanse itself and adapt towards your spiritual growth. Maybe the kundalini awakens only when it is needed, because it brings an accelerated change in the subtle body. Coming too soon would be harmful, but it is never too late for it. You are surely already stimulating kundalini, and as you continue with meditation, and you continuously let go, one day it will awaken. So that's my take, don't worry over it.
Perhaps the more knowledgeable practitioners will advise you better. Hope you enjoy the ride! |

Hi Rerince,
Welcome to the forums.
There are many things that can cause kundalini to awaken, but primarily it will awaken when enough purification has happened in the subtle body. This is the safest way to bring about an awakening. So, the most important things to focus on are meditation and spinal breathing pranayama, as these will bring about the purification of the subtle body and the mind.
If you focus on these things, then spiritual awakening will happen at the right time and in the right way.
