I have never read that Lahiri Mahasaya didn't teach Maha Mudra. Where does this info come from EK?

I only read that he instructed not to teach retention of the breath during Maha M. to people with lungs problems.

Hi Will Power that was something I read and as it turns out the source was not reliable. Apologies for the confusion.

For the Record Maha Mudra is and always has been taught as part of Kriya by the Lahiri family.

That author was trying be authoritative and I was a fool for trusting it and acting like a parrot.

Have since verified this first hand learning from Shibenduji directly.

Just another reason to throw away the books. Just another reason to learn in person see even a sincere Kriyaban makes mistakes.

I disagree, books are very good motivators when your teacher is far away.

I agree the motivation is good the misinformation however is terrible.

You have taken the time and have learned in person. There is a difference between one who has learned in person and one who has not.

If you disagree then I will only say that your opinion is respected and accepted but do not share it.

I've met Gurunath only once and here are some of the things I've experienced:

Being next to him was like going into deep meditation, he has the ability to still people's minds.

Whenever talking to him I always felt that he already knew what I was going to say, many times it was enough to just think something and he would know it -- there was no need to talk.

He knew what was going on at the ashram without being physically present, how big this area of perception is I don't know, but its large.

The only negative thing I found was that there were quite a few dogmatic or fanatical people around him who thought they have found the only right way, but I guess this happens with every teacher and spiritual community to some degree.

Ok this description is not as detailed as Holy's experiences but at least its something. :)

Thanks Chiron,

your perception is in tune with mine and practically all I have met who have been with Gurunath.

Wanted to share one newly published youtube-video of him:

Hi all,

after nearly two years of not visiting my beloved Gurunath, life gracefully allows it again this month :)

Cannot describe the joy of Gurunath, the king of joy! :D

Happy practice to all (=

Hi Holy,

Seeing Gurunath again, maybe u'd like some questions to put to him (if u haven't got enough of ur own!)?

I'd b interested to hear what he has to say about:
1- the spiritual purpose of hair
2- fluoridated water
3- what is actually happening when one is grounded and connected to the earth

This came onto his uTube a couple of weeks and the transmission part unexpectedly had a big impact!

Hi BeezBuzz,

have never asked general questions so far, only asked practice related questions. But Gurunath has a tendency to answer questions of the minds, therefore will reread your questions the day before going and keep them vibrant for some time so that he can catch them ;) Is this okay for you? :)

Okay watched the video now:

Amazing, thank you very much!!!!!!!! :D I know why I love this man :D :D Didn't read your sentence above the link before watching, this transmission is called Shivapath, direct no-mind!

All love :D
