Chakras - How do chakras figure into the AYP?
How important are chakras in advanced yoga practices?

Chakras are important, but not in the sense that they need to be intellectually understood for maximum spiritual progress to occur. For the most part, the functioning of the chakras is "under the hood." The practices in the lessons are geared towards overall spiritual awakening, and not so much towards individual chakras - except the ajna to root connection, which is especially important for enlightenment.
