can there be union without love
desire may take us so far
until the bridge of devotion awaits our footsteps
all to give to the giver of all

even the trangressions of the heart
the murmurings of the forgotten pain
the whispers of worldly desire
offering all to the offerer of all

each breath the in the out
the sounds on the waves silence
the beat of the heart in unison
one moment to the creator of all moments

is this love a shadow of love in union
like the moon in the mid morning sky
half covered by the earth
the piecing blue the illusion of non existence
the other half lending its face to the autumn sun
yet i know the moon is whole
my memory placing its roundness in the minds eye
like the love of the one sometimes it lies in the shadows
waiting for the light to fall reveal the splendour
to unite the two halves as the shadows recede
love is here love is there waiting hiding
behind and in the shadows made by ourselves
we are never without only with
union in love love in union
