I think it might be one of my missions in life to learn every way that a person can possibly over-do their sitting practices.

I learned first hand today that bhakti needs self-pacing too. I was doing my regular evening session and I had intense bhakti during my meditation. Not getting into too many details, but the intensity was focussed mainly on my third eye. Now this could be coincidence for sure, but an interesting one if it is, but truth be spoken about 2 hours later I get a "pea" sized welt exactly between my eyebrows that itches like you wouldn't believe. In fact, the more I scratch it, the more it itches. I can’t even touch it at this point.

I've had headaches, "inner sunburns", and other symptoms of inner energy for over-doing things before but this is the first time I ever had a physical symptom that I could see and touch. I have to say that on some level I kind of like knowing that it is physical too. No harm done I think.

I thought I would share this, maybe it will help dissipate the energy!
