Lesson T43 - Review of Blocking Method for Men

New Members: It is recommended you read from the beginning of this tantra yoga archive, as
previous lessons are prerequisite to this one. The first lesson is, "What is tantra yoga?"
Q: My meditation and pranayama with mulabandha are going perfectly, with symptoms you
indicated in your lessons. I am very much eager to follow the tantra methods.
I started in holdback with blocking. Where should I press to stop semen from releasing --
between the anus and testicles, or between testicles and tip of organ? Please give the
exact portion to press. Can I practice holdback with blocking daily?
A: Thank you for writing and sharing. I am very happy to hear practices are going well.
Tantric blocking (lesson #5) with the holdback method (lesson #4) is underneath in the perineum area, the soft area between the
testicles and anus, behind the pubic bone. If you push up in there, it is soft. This is
also where the heel (or substitute object) goes in siddhasana. This is the same place a
woman's vagina is.
To block, we push fingers up in there and forward against the back of the pubic bone,
shutting the channel of the penis (urethra) going up inside. The further up in the soft
area we can comfortably do it, the better.
Yes, daily practice of holdback with blocking as necessary is okay, as long as the results
are good and there is no major discomfort. That goes for all of AYP, of course. Remember,
daily orgasm with blocking is not the goal. Long preorgasmic cultivation is the goal. This
may end in orgasm, or not. Eventually, not orgasm very often. Make sure you use the
holdback method with sexual stimulation. This is how staying power is developed, not
through blocking. Blocking is the last resort for a man, an effective means to preserve
sexual essences when orgasm occurs. Once staying power is established, the need for
blocking becomes less and less. And, as natural vajroli arises, blocking, when it does
occur, will become less and less intense -- just a finger easily placed there and it all
goes up with natural vajroli. It is a long-term project and evolution. Go at your own
pace.
I wish you all success on your chosen spiritual path. Enjoy!
The guru is in you.
