Lesson 36 - Book Update and an Important Notice
From: Yogani
Date: Tue Oct 5, 2004 1:26pm
As mentioned in a previous posting, attention here has shifted to publishing a book of
these lessons. That project is well underway now, and I wanted to give you a brief update.
Many issues have had to be addressed relating to formatting, editing, and the practical
aspects of publishing. Most of that is pretty well in hand now, and work is in progress on
getting the manuscript done. The book will be the original online lessons, plus
significant additions in the form of clarifications of the knowledge, more revealing
Q&As, several new components of practice, and a Sanskrit glossary.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: As you know, many of the online AYP lessons are in the form of Q&As.
If you do not wish to have inquiries you have submitted published anonymously in a Q&A
or testimonial in the AYP book, please let me know within the next 30 days, so any
necessary adjustments can be made to the manuscript. This applies to both inquiries that
have been posted in the online lessons and those that have not. Be specific in identifying
any inquiry you do not wish have included in the book. If you have previously advised me
of the privacy of a submitted email, that will continue to be honored, and no further
notification is necessary. Keep in mind that inquiries not currently posted in the online
lessons could end up in the book, unless you advise otherwise. Please review the Copyright
Notice at the bottom of the home page of the AYP web site.

The Q&As are a vital part of the lessons, and the generosity of hundreds of you
writing in over the past year has brought huge benefits to the thousands who have been
studying here. I will be most appreciative if you will support the smooth flow of these
interactive lessons out into the published book medium, so that many more around the world
can be exposed to the knowledge of advanced yoga practices.
I am working to have the book published in the first quarter of 2005. It will be available
in both hard copy and eBook formats. Printing and distribution of the hard copy book (a
hefty volume of well over 500 pages) will initially be in the USA and UK. The eBook will
be available on computers worldwide, of course, and will have the same handy internal
linking and searchability that exists on the AYP web site.
I am very interested in publishing and distributing the hard copy book locally in India,
where the cost can be brought down dramatically by publishing and distributing it
in-country. There are many AYP members located in India, so finding a local
publisher/distributor is a high priority. A "print on demand" (POD)
publisher/distributor would be preferred, but any viable arrangement that will work in
India will be considered. Any suggestions on who can assist with publishing and
distributing the book in India will be much appreciated. The same goes for Australia, New
Zealand, Hong Kong/China, Japan, South Africa, and other English-reading countries where
it might make economic sense to publish locally rather than rely on shipping from the USA
or UK (or India, if we can get that set up). With the currently planned publishing
arrangement, there is the flexibility to print the book anywhere that makes economic
sense.
If anyone is interested in doing a translation of the lessons into another language,
please contact me. A strategy is evolving for this involving free translated online AYP
lessons that can lead to eventual book publication with shared authorship. There are
currently early efforts going on for translations into Indonesian and French. Anyone
interested in reading the lessons in those languages should contact me, so I can refer you
directly to the translator. Quite a few inquiries have been received regarding a Spanish
translation, but no one has stepped forward to do it yet. Any volunteers?
Once the AYP lessons have been published, the next step will be to finish a spiritual
novel that has been sitting here in draft form for over a year. It was written before the
AYP lessons were started on Yahoo, and I am looking forward to finishing and publishing
it. It is an adventure/romance story with the actual AYP practices built into it. Yes, a
novel with real spiritual practices in it. It is written for a modern audience, and
contains no Sanskrit terminology. It is called "The Secrets of Wilder." In
addition to the practices, the story takes the reader through the travails and triumphs of
our hometown hero and heroine on their epic journey of human spiritual transformation --
sometimes humorous, often dangerous, definitely erotic, and ultimately overflowing with
world-transforming ecstatic bliss and divine love.
The guru is in you.

instructions on the methods of tantra in relation to the broad scope of yoga
practices and the enlightenment process,
