Lesson 215 - New Web Site Enhancements

From: Yogani
Date: Fri Jul 9, 2004 1:54pm

Dear AdvancedYogaPractices group members:

As many of you know, a new web site for AYP was rolled out a few weeks ago to provide backup security for the more than 200 lessons that have been posted in the two Yahoo groups (main and tantra) since last year. The primary address for the web site is:

http://www.geocities.com/advancedyogapractices (now www.aypsite.com)

The web site can also be reached through forwarding from this secondary address:

http://www.advancedyogapractices.com

I am writing to make sure you have these links. This "special notice" will assure that nearly everyone in the group has been notified. Apologies to those who have received this information more than once.

In addition to providing an extra level of online security for AYP, the web site offers the flexibility to add enhancements to improve visibility and navigation of the lessons.

A "Testimonials" page was added recently containing personal comments on the lessons from many of you. There are a lot of compliments on the lessons in there (thank you!), as well as interesting descriptions of experiences folks are having with the practices in relation to their path. The comments come from practitioners all over the world, and at every level of experience in yoga from beginning to advanced. It is most interesting to see how much we all have in common no matter where we are from or what spiritual path we are on. We all share in the experience of a spiritually-evolving human nervous system, and it is wonderful to witness the divine light coming up in so many these days.

A link-driven "Topic Index" has also been added which I hope will make finding information in the lessons much easier. This is an important feature because the discussion on practices becomes more refined in the later lessons. For example, take "sambhavi." There are significant pointers on practice in the later lessons that new sambhavi practitioners can benefit from. Now it is easy to find them by simply looking up "sambhavi" in the topic index and going directly to the listed lessons. It is like that with many of the practices, and their interrelationships which become more intimate as the lessons advance. Of course, the topic index is not a license to jump through the lessons on a few topics, while ignoring everything else along the way. It will be most useful to those who have been all the way through the lessons and want to go back and target particular topics for review as new experiences come up.

I would be honored if you would visit the new web site and give it a "test drive." Your feedback is welcome.

With the web site in place, it is now much easier to refer others to the AYP lessons. If you are finding the lessons to be helpful, I hope you will pass the word to others who you think can benefit.

As always, I wish you success on your chosen spiritual path. Enjoy!

The guru is in you.
